This project is an album cover design for three singers with different styles. I made three cover designs, including font design and picture collage. I designed the cover and album derivative according to different music styles and singer elements of the three songs. Music feeds my creative self: it connects me with the outside environment and people from close and distanced societies. With various forms, melodies, and lyrics, it reflects the world’s same reality: a world of paradox and complexity. I am obsessed with singers who showcase their frustration, vulnerabilities, and doubts. Among them, Vinida takes a feminine stand and discusses the female consciousness and choices in romantic relationships; Songs of No party for Cao Dong speaks of social inequality and systemic problems. I could not ignore these voices but use visual art to acknowledge the naturally imperfect lives and my own unnamed emotions.
